Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your position and I do not envy the task that is ahead of you. Having said that, I must voice my concern.

 Many Republicans I know are looking for a new party. They feel as if the party has left them. A dear friend wrote in an email, I am so frustrated with the party, I want to leave, but I do not know where to go. You stated in your response that those who agree with you 80 % are an ally. I would say that you and the leadership in the party are the ones out of sync with the rank and file.

            I think the best way to sum up our frustration is, “You, that is the Republicans, are so afraid of the media and loosing elections that you are now and have been, trying to out Democrat the Democrats.” You are doing so by trying to counter offer what the Democrats offer as if we actually want it. It is time for the Republican leadership to regain cognitive abilities.

            I have been one of those who have sat and yelled at the TV for years. April 15 found me and 7000 other fed up voters in Pioneer Square in Portland Oregon. When asked how many have protested before only about 20 percent shouted out. The rest were like me.

            I have studied history, and the founders, and I must agree with what some are now postulating that both parties have moved down a continuum away from the constitution and towards tyranny. True that the while “Progressives, or mostly Democrats have lead the way, they have towed the Republican Party down the continuum with them. Both parties no longer represent the Republic or the principles of the founders.

            Today, I am a member of a group that has grown to almost 700,000 people in just three months with no real marketing or membership drive. Our chapter started in March and we are only now legally organizing. We are mostly former Republicans. What is our message? It is a nonpartisan movement back towards original intent of the founders.

            I am writing to you because this ground swell cannot be ignored. We are tired of lies, and misleading statements, we do not want a Republican version, better put, a watered down version of what the Democrats are offering. Tyranny or tyranny light is still tyranny. When we look at the Republican Party, we see Democrats. There is very little difference.

            We are on the verge of losing our very freedoms. Our president denounced Christianity in front of the world while standing in a Muslim nation. Now, he states that America is one of the largest Muslim countries. He has done things that in our book are unconstitutional. Where does the constitution grant him power to confiscate private businesses and fire CEO’s or for that matter, force Universal healthcare on us? He is going to force us out of the energy we use and into the form of energy he wants. He is spending our money and grandchildren’s money without concern. He is allowing Black Panthers/thugs to intimidate voters. He is funding ACORN which is a Marxist organization. Call it/him what he is, a Socialist, a progressive socialist.

            In response Republicans are offering tyranny light, excuse me, I mean a Republican plan for universal socialized healthcare. The Republican party no longer believes in REPUBLCANISM, but progressive social changes.

            Why isn’t the party pursuing these matters in the courts? Why is Obama allowed to usurp states tenth amendment rights? This administration needs to be sued, and stopped dead in its tracks. We may not survive until 2012.

            Many others and I feel Sarah Palin is more a man than many so-called men in the Republican Party are. It could be because she was raised in a state that still produces men instead of metro-sexual men.

Our boy Adolph, you know, he did a lot of great things. Germany was in a mess after world war one, just a shell of her former self. Germans were out of work and little German kids were going to bed hungry for God’s sake. Then, a hero stepped up, a man of the people. A man just like them, born of poverty, fought in the trenches, he knew what it was like to be one of them. Why, he even served time in prison.

Yes, our boy Adolph rose to power amidst the world’s darkest moments. He came in to office riding a wave of hope and change. He nationalized most everything, unified the German people, upgraded, and industrialized his nation. Why, old Adolph was an environmentalist and a vegetarian to boot. Soon, the German people were eating, singing, and dancing again, ah the good times. People were once again proud to be Germans.

 Today, I move that Harvard University award Adolph Hitler an honorary Degree. Yes, for all the good he did for his people. After all, he was a man of the people. Okay so as chancellor he had a few hiccups. Yea, yea, so 50 million people died. So he gassed a few million Jews, no one is perfect.

 This example is meant as an absurdity, but no more absurd then what I watched today. Two Catholic priests debate whether Obama should receive an honorary degree from Notre Dame. The priest that supported this said that the University was honoring Obama for the good he stands for and not for the bad things that fly square in the face of the church or Christianity. The key to the second priest’s argument against the awarding of the degree centered around the abortion debate.

 I used Hitler to paint a picture of absurdity and logic because while he did do a whole lot of terrible things, in the beginning, he did do many good things for the German people. Using the same logic as the first priest, one cannot argue against my absurd example that Hitler should be awarded an honorary degree. My point is not to debase Obama, and paint him out as Hitlarian but rather to point out the absurdities of Christians.

 I am appalled at how many Christians are willing to subordinate their religious beliefs to their political beliefs. I cannot speak for Hindus, Buddhists, or Muslims. I can only speak as a Christian. If we as Christians belong to a Church that says we should do this, and not that, because as a Church we believe this is what God commands, then we should do this and not that. Yet, so many Christians supported Obama despite the fact he is pro choice. Moreover, both Protestants and Catholics support him despite the fact he seems to be very anti-Christian.

 For me, my belief in God supersedes my politics. If I am faced with a choice, renounce my faith and accept the political, or be put to death, then death it is. Death even if I believe in most of what my government stands for. We cannot compromise our faith for our politics. Either we believe in what we hold to be sacred or we don’t.

One hand, we cannot  believe in life and award a man who does not. We cannot believe in our God and award a man who openly denies the founders beliefs in God even though they clearly stated their Judao-Christian beliefs in their writings. We cannot award a man who denounces our faith to the world while standing in a Muslim country. We cannot award a man who waters down the faith based initiatives with an anti Christian, Pope hating man. We cannot award a man who takes prayer out of the White House on the National Day of Prayer.

 More importantly, we cannot subjugate our faith to the will of politicians. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNEEL AND PRAY ANYWHERE AND ANY TIME WE WANT. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO READ OUR BIBLES IN ANY FORUM WE SO CHOOSE. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO SHOW OUR SYMBOLS OF FIATH ON THE HIGHEST MOUNTIAN IN THE LAND. GOD himself granted us these rights. This, my friends is what the founders referred to as natural law and unalienable rights, the law and rights given us by God.

Have you stopped to understand that a ragtag group of 13 colonies, no money, no real army, decided to go up against the greatest army in the world and won? These men with iron in their bellies went on to create two of the world’s greatest documents, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Since then, the whole world has looked to the United States as a guiding light.

The U.S. grew in power and ability. 140 years after the Declaration of Independence was signed, the U.S. would lead the world to defeat the Germans in WWI, and again in WWII, from which the U.S. would emerge as the worlds new superpower. Since then, the U.S. has led the world through some troubled times.

Now however, according to an article in the World Tribune, “The United States will no longer seek to lead the world toward a better future but will defer to rising powers and international organizations in its relations abroad” This according to a senior State Department official.

Furthermore, the article states that Deputy Stienberg said that we are in effect redistributing power. Stienberg goes on to state that the Obama Administrations new approach is to move from the U.S. being viewed as a Superpower. As Stienberg states, the U.S. will now defer leadership to other nations, new emerging powers, this in an attempt to globalize world leadership.

In an article written in the New York Post by Rich Lowry, Lowry states that Obama sees himself ascending to power not in 2009 but in year zero. Year zero meaning that Obama wishes to wash away the sins of the past. Lowry postulates that Obama ignored verbal attacks against the United States made at the summit of the Americas by stating he was only 3 months old when certain things happened. In Obama’s mind, he was not to blame for past sins of the U.S.

In essences, Just as Obama threw Reverend Wright under the bus, so to he is throwing American history under the bus. Indeed, in Obama’s narcissistic mind, American history started the day he won the election. Hence, Obama has no problem apologizing for America. Our past, good, bad, or ugly doesn’t matter, this according to Lowry. What counts are the things that happen from his immaculate inauguration, or the crowning of Obama as America’s first king. Obama’s America is the new America, and it has a new history.

The question ladies and gentlemen, are we, the free people of the United States going to tolerate the transformation of a free and liberated nation, a nation that was the shining city upon the hill, to one of just another developing nation. Are we going to allow the dumbing down of this nation in order to level the global playing field? Are you ready to live in an 800 square feet home against your will? Are you ready to be forced to give up your cars/trucks/suv’s? Are you ready to give up the best healthcare in the world so that people in France, or Kenya can feel good because you have no more than they have? If you are, than stay at home.

If, on the other hand you do not want this transformation than you are going to have to arm yourself and fight. When I say this, I am referring to a two-sided coin. On one side, peaceful demonstrations, tea parties, and joining one of the many groups that are forming and add your voice to a rising chorus. This is the peaceful side, the side we want to see succeed. If this peaceful movement does not succeed, then I am afraid we will be forced to flip the coin. If we do not speak up as one, if we do not raise our voices to be heard in Washington DC, then the coin may indeed have to be flipped.

I believe a more pertinent question is how did we get here? The answer is painfully simple. The book, The 5000 year leap boils down the founders intentions into 28 principles. Two of them are the key to solving this question. The first principle to examine is that the people of the nation must be virtuous and moral. The second principal we need to look at is that the leaders must be virtuous and moral. If one is not in place, the whole apple cart is turned upside down.

The other 26 remaining principles are fine and dandy, and very beautiful to a person such as myself. However, after examining them, if the two principles mentioned above are corrupted then rest is corrupted. This problem has been in the making for some 100 years. Nonetheless, the catalyst was in the 1960s with the move from moral absolutes to moral relativism.

The young people of the 1950s were corrupted and this corrupted spoiled generation then raised the next corrupt generation. That which was once wrong no longer mattered. They grew up, had children, became schoolteachers and professors, and raised the next generation. This is evidenced in President Clintons behavior while in the White House and before, oral sex is not sex, well that depends on what your definition of is, is Clinton said. Clinton has far less moral principles than the generation that raised him. Now, we are engaged with a younger president. This president has very different morals than even Clinton had. We shouldn’t be looking at them, they are the symptom.

The disease is in us. We are a much less virtuous and moral people than we were just one generation past. What do you expect corrupt generations to produce? In the Bible, God told the Hebrews, hey guys, tough, you are wondering the desert for 40 years until this generation passes. A new generation needed to be born, one that would know God. Here we are, in a much worse boat. We have several generations that are corrupted, and no desert in sight.

We think it is cute for our 15-year-old daughters to have pierced tongues, without understanding where this trend started from, gay sadomasochism. We think it is cute to let our 13 year olds dress in black, dye their hair purple and paint their nails black, all the while listening to some crazy music. Many parents took their kids to see, The spy who shagged me.” Do you know what the British verb, to shag means? Our movie ratings have been dumbed down so far that what used to be R rated is now PG 13. I can rant on and on about this.

Let me draw you a picture. I like to look at this as a set of multi concentric cycles. The cycle in the center is absolute purity, virtue and morality. Albeit that we would never start from there, but for the sake of the discussion let’s say we do. So here we are living and wandering around in the center. One or more or perhaps a group are curious. What lies behind the wall? One day they begin to chisel away until a hole is broken through. Everyone is in shock! They cannot believe what they see.

The few that broke through are now ripping away at the wall. Now there is no wall left. By the time this happens, the rest of the people have been exposed to what lies beyond and no longer pay attention. Soon, a group of people are once again curious as to what is beyond the next wall. The process continues to repeat until there are no walls left.

Each wall represents a set of moral values. As they are torn down, the main group is initially shocked but overtime they become immune to the repulsiveness of what was hidden. It becomes normal. Let’s look around. Today, you can find women wearing their underwear on the outside. You can see people with piercings everywhere, tattoos that don’t make sense, dressed like trash even in the work place and indeed in our churches. Profanity is all over the airwaves, music promotes beating and sexually abusing women, killing cops and so on.

So, who is to blame? Look in the mirror. We all are. Those of us who were baby boomers, wanted everything, and not have to pay for it, not have to be responsible. An endless party if you will. Our offspring have hardly any limits. This, friends is our legacy that we are leaving the world, a destroyed America, with masses that want to be like Europe, who by the way went through this process long before we did. We just want to be kids even into our old age.

This is why the founders stated that for us to remain a free nation; we had to remain a nation of virtuous and moral people. A people rooted in Natural law that is, law from God and  a nation that believed in God. The founders said, if we should not be this kind of people, we would lose our freedom. The answer put God back into the center of our lives. Base our virtues and morals around Him; keep Natural law at our core. If we want to survive, we need to get back to the center.

They built the republic on natural law, something English lawyers had been playing with for a while. Natural law is not the law of the jungle but rather the law of God, created by God. Many of the founders believed in this law and that it was ever lasting and could not be overturned by man, or state.

Part of Natural Law was inalienable rights. Here to, just as Natural Law was handed down from God, so to were these rights. Of these rights were life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Equal rights were included in this, but not equal rights to things.

Combining the two statements, equal rights with the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness means simply put, every person has the same right to pursue that which they feel will make them happy. As well, each person has the right to liberty or freedom. Freedom from what one might ask. The answer is of course, the freedom from oppressive governments. In addition, people have the right to life. People have the right to live, and to live life as they see fit.

Equality is a slippery slope and has two meanings. The first is equality under the law that is to be treated the same. However, the second is different, none of us are equal. We all have various talents and gifts, and range in intellect. This type of equality is equality of possessions, or earnings perhaps, or a right to purse same. A mentally disable person with an IQ of 70 will never possess the talents and or intelligence to be the CEO of a major corporation. He has no rights to millions of dollars, mansions, and limousines, but he does have the right to try to obtain them. None of us has the right to just have because we want. We must work hard and earn it using our talents, abilities, and intelligences.

Unfortunately, there has been a slow and steady drumbeat to “Level the playing field.” Equal rights to these people mean equal possessions. In order to create such a playing field, those who have more must be brought down, forced at the point of a gun to give it up. This is reverse logic to what the founders created. The created a country where, through hard work and effort, one could lift themselves up and climb the ladder.

Our current leader and his people in congress, no names need be mentioned, see the world upside down to what the founders saw it. They envision an America where the haves are made to give it up, to the have not’s, or have less. The founders saw a nation of prosperity for those who work hard but modern people see it as a nation of greed whose possessions need to be stripped away and given to those that have less. They suffer from the Robin Hood syndrome, or another name is socialism.

Socialism is four square opposite of what the founders of this nation created. Do you realize that one nation has rocketed this world into the future farther and faster in just 200 years than the whole world did in 5000 years? This was not done thanks to socialism, communism, fascism, or monarchies, but because of two things, freedom, and capitalism. Now we sit on the brink of destruction. We sit and watch as our government takes over banks, begins to pass laws to control the salaries of people working in privately owned business, as they pass laws that will allow the government to confiscate businesses if they are major players and are about to faultier. Our government is creating the equivalent of Hitler’s youth movements, and the Nazi SS in the form of forced volunteerism and the so-called Civilian Action Corps and someday soon, the energy police or green shirts. New Gun bans are in the making, and the current Attorney General says that he doesn’t believe in the 2nd amendment.

With each new law congress passes, or the president signs into law using executive powers, and with each new Czar he creates, we are losing rights, and freedoms and capitalism. Friends, this president, and the leadership of the democrat party are the real deal; they are socialist hell bent on turning our country into a socialist fascist nation.

I urge you to do one of or all three of the following. Join a “We Surround Them,” group, first go to http://www.the912project.com/ and see what this is, then go to http://www.meetup.com/ and put in “We surround them” in the topic or interest box and find the group meeting near you. Secondly, go to http://newamericanteaparty.org/ and find a tea party near you, or start one if one does not exist. Finally, write or call your congressperson. Most importantly don’t just do nothing.

The economy is huge, massive, and complex, but regardless of its size and scope, it runs on certain undeniable basic principles. It is very simple; you need people to buy things. These things can range from clothing items, to brand new houses. As well, this just doesn’t apply to Americans, after all, something like 40% of our economy relies on exports.

The housing market collapse is what ended this last wild ride. In the nineties, the dot com collapse pushed us into a recession. Since the creation of the U.S. there has been a total of 17 recessions, lasting a total of 84 years, not counting the current one, with the average recession lasting almost five years from start to finish.

The reasons for some of these recessions are broad and range from the deflation of the Bank of England, embargo’s by the U.S., foreclosures and bank failures, lack of confidence in U.S. currency, bad speculations, a failure of a railroad, to OPEC quadrupling the price of oil in the 70s. Out of all of these recessions, some of which spanned the world, there was only one great depression.

There are two choices facing us. We can either embrace socialism wholeheartedly, or Capitalism. I would invite you to tour Europe if you prefer socialism, but not as a tourist rather as a buyer. You are after all about to invest everything into the single biggest purchase of a lifetime, not only for yourself, but also for everyone in the nation. Do not be so hasty to jump over the fence because the grass looks greener.

As for capitalism, I would suggest cutting capital gains to zero for five years. I would also suggest cutting dividend taxes and business taxes for the next three years. I would suggest cutting FICA in half for three years for both businesses and employees. Furthermore, I would suggest tax credits for companies that hire new employees, and or expand their business.

I would suggest a first time homebuyer’s down payment assistance program. Money needs to be up front. Under the current administrations rules, a person needs to have the down payment and only after the purchase of a home, can they file an amendment to their previous taxes to receive a credit back.

I would create a program that allowed and encouraged banks to put a moratorium on foreclosures for at least two years. Furthermore, I would have the FHA create lending programs to assist in the rewriting of mortgages regardless of how late the owners are, or the actual value of the property. These loans would be written at a lower interest rate and over 30-50 years depending on individual circumstances.

I would encourage state, county and city governments to follow suit, and lower taxes on businesses, and to create free enterprise zones to help attract businesses back into their areas. An example of doing the opposite is Multnomah County in Oregon. They have just instituted three new taxes on business within the county. They are already oppressive towards business and they have driven out many businesses into neighboring counties. Oregon has one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation; one only needs to say TAXES, to understand why.

We need to free up trade so that our products can flow out and drive up the need to produce more. We need to drive up demand in the U.S. as well. Wall Street and Pennsylvania Ave are not going to magically spin up demand, which will lead to and need for supply.

Of course, we should implement some of Obama’s infrastructure plans, but his social engineering is worthless. Tax breaks that put $500 into a person’s hands isn’t going to work anymore than it did when Bush did it last year. We need a president that is speaking positive and not trying to feed us doom and gloom in order to push a social agenda. We need optimism, and right now, no one is giving it to us.

If Obama really cared about people, he would fix the economy first, and try to socialize America second, and only with the peoples support. Instead, it seems he is trying to use the crisis to socialize America first. In his mind, this will lead to a fix. After all, if the government is in control, the U.S. will not need businesses anymore. If the Government is paying for our homes, our food, our health care, it no longer has to rely on the free markets. This is communism at its core.

Commonsense, not communism

Mr. Obama said he was going to change things, a transparent government, bipartisanship, honesty, and integrity, and he would get spending under control. Do you realize he has done exactly the opposite of what he campaigned on?

I love my country, and I am sure you do too. Some of us see things very differently. Some of you are okay with the United States moving away from a constitutional government to a centralized government. A centralized government cannot be a constitutional government; the two are not mutually compatible.
In a constitutional government, power resides with the people. We are the kings and queens. In a centralized government, power resides within the government. The government serves us, and in order to serve us, it needs to control us because we are incapable of taking care of ourselves.

Just look around you. You cannot smoke in a bar anymore. You cannot ride a bicycle without a helmet. You are so stupid that food companies have to put labels on everything, and in a little while, restaurants will be forced to post the same in their menus. You cannot provide for yourself so Uncle Sam has to do it for you. You’re a drug addict so Uncle Sam provides dope and needles for you. You cannot pay your mortgage because you were a fool so Uncle Sam is going to do it for you.

Be prepared for the Secret Energy Police to come to your home at will, enter it, and search it for energy inefficiencies. Yes, you read that right. It is part of the plan. Your constitution protects you from illegal search and seizure, but under this new law, energy police can invade your home at will under the guise of energy inspectors search for inefficacies. Oh, but wait, they see something on your table, and thus you are arrested for another crime. This my friends is big brother conducting illegal searches of your home.

Currently, there is a bill going through the Oregon legislature that will prohibit the purchase of aftermarket car parts. That means you will not be able to modify your vehicle in any way shape or form. God forbid you may increase your drag coefficient and burn one extra ounce of fuel because of the modifications.

Soon, as postulated by one of Obama’s cabinet picks, old people just need to die and save the money for procedures on young people. So, yea, welcome to the new world. Old people need to just give up the ghost and die. What about the infirmed that may only squeeze out a few years compared to a young healthy person who may increase their life substantially. Perhaps those people should just be allowed to die as well, for the sake of efficiency.

Oh wait…the environmental whackos are now putting forth population control. Yes, your government will now dictate to you that you can only have two children, not 2.5, just two. That is fine and dandy, but when that doesn’t work, it will be reduced to just one child. Really none of this matters, because the bottom line, your government is controlling every aspect of your life. Yes, true American Freedom. You have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, at least as much of it as your government will allow you to have.

I’ve grown hateful. I live in a country of ingrates, that is, people who have never sacrificed a thing. People who have drank large quantities of beer, smoked acres of marijuana, kicked back, and took trips on LSD with the most significant thing in their lives being protests. These wonderful whiny little snots now what to dictate to us what we can and cannot do, what we can and cannot drive, and what we can and cannot do with our own money. They want to convert America into a neo socialist/commune, abandoning the very core principles that they have so richly profited from and enjoyed and that has allowed them to thrive to the point of getting one of the most fascist liberals elected to do their bidding. And we are supposed to sit back and just let them dictate to us. When we complain, we are being obstructionist. I say bully to that, let’s obstruct.

Conservative means looking at society as a whole organism functioning for the good of the whole, as an organic society glued together by a common culture, language nationality, values, and traditions. Furthermore, conservatives believe in a classical liberal economy, that is free markets, or laissez-faire capitalism. This definition has been provided by Gutek, G.L. (1997). So far, not so bad, I can buy into that. I do believe that history matters in shaping who we are. I further believe that we have to have a national identity, a common language, and culture to draw all of us together as one, E Pluribus Unum right? I also believe in a free market or laissez-faire capitalism, and I believe in shared common values. Here in lies the rub.

History, we know that over the last forty years, a certain ideology has been working to rewrite and undermine American history. They have focused all of America’s 232-year history as a nation on two focal points. First, slavery, and the second is civil rights. To this crowd, nothing else matters. We were terrible sinners and we need to be punished for it. Stop and think for a minute. Do you know who said, “I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country?” If you do, then ask your children if they know. I was taught this quote before I was ten years old. Okay, one more, who said, “Give me liberty or give me death?” Who wrote Common sense?

I asked my children these questions and they did not know. My daughter has a degree in history and she never studied early American history. The sad fact is, we teach about slavery, we teach about civil rights marches and Martin Luther King Jr. as we should, but that is pretty much it. The rest is all-negative. How do we cultivate a national identity without a national history?

The next hurdle is a national identity. The same crowd of people have brainwashed us into multi-culturalism. Even though our nation has, from its inception, always been multi cultural. After all, the Irish will not identify as English, nor will the English identify as French. They all have their variations that make them unique. Unfortunately, the crowd that has forced multi culture on us think it means, gay, Black, Asian, Hispanic, and a smattering of other heritages. How do we have a national identity when we have been broken into a multitude of pieces all equal and more important than the so-called White Anglo Saxon Protestant culture?

They seem to ignore the fact that it was the “WASP” culture that built this nation, and that laid the very foundations and laws that made this nation a bastion for multi cultural people to come to, prosper and become one. As well, they are fighting tooth and nail against a common language, arguing that it hurts peoples self esteem and is discriminatory. I guess it is better that these people live in abject poverty because they cannot communicate orally, or in written form, yet they still possess their mother tongue. Finally, a common culture, America has had one culture, a culture of individual ruggedness. We’ve had English, Spanish, Dutch, German, French, Italian, Mexican, as well as others, and most certainly Blacks as part of our culture from almost day one. It was only recently that they began to become fractured from the mainstream culture under the pressure of the, okay, I am going to say it, the Progressive liberal left.

This is not to deny racism or discrimination, but rather that all of the aforementioned heritages enjoyed Americanism for the most part, as anyone else did. If they did not, they would not have come and thrived, despite racism. Only the Blacks have struggled the most because they have, as a group of people, fought against acculturating into the common culture. Those, such as Asians, the model minority, who came to America have blended in, and are doing very well. This fact lends its self to debunking the myth of multi-culturalism. The melting pot, worked in the past, and still works today for those who blend in.

So, back to what are conservative principles and values. I’ve done a little bit of research and have come up with a list. I am not saying it is the definitive list, just a list. As conservatives, we need to step back and separate ourselves from both parties. Nether party fairly or honestly represents us. They, they being politicians and those who work for them, represent their selves, and winning elections. They are not representing us or what is in the best interest of the nation. In separating, we need to develop a core set of principles and values. I would ask that you read this list and consider your own. Who are we, and what do we stand for?

One argued against the war in Afghanistan, stating the Taliban have no desires to attack the U.S. and have not taken part in attacks against the U.S. or its interests. Even though another panelist reminded him that they did provide training camps, food, and protection to those that did have such designs. Again, the panelist reminded the Taliban supporter that Bush even offered to leave the Taliban alone if they would arrest and handover the terrorists and their leaders.

We see things from different perspectives. Our perspectives are our realities. When the media began citing the casualty rate in Iraq on a daily basis, and when they began to criticize Bush’s plan, only then did the support for the war begin to wavier. One could say then, that the media controls our reality by controlling our perspective, and if this is true, than many are nothing more than mindless robots doing the bidding of the media. What they want, they merely convince you of it, and you speak out in favor of their opinions, and so it is written, so it is done.

Trying to fight people being mindless robots is the whole reason for this blog. Don’t be one. I am not saying you need to agree with me, but rather, go and look for yourself. I beg you not to just believe Dan Rather, Charles Gibson, Katy Currick, to name a few. All of whom make millions a year. Yet, they tell you what is right and wrong, and what you should believe and not believe. There is an infinite amount of resources on the Internet. When the democrats say they are for the working class, and the republicans are for the rich, go and find out if this is true and if so, why?

Go, and find out who really supported free voting blacks, and who supported the Ku Klux Klan. Find out where labor unions came from. Go and do the research, did Welfare help or hurt millions of people? Go and research what healthcare is like in Great Britain France and other socialist countries.

I leave you with this thought extraordinary .rendition, or the act of rendering which is the act of turning over a terror suspect to another country has been used in the U.S. for a very long time. However, President Bill Clinton signed the presidential directive in 1995 authorizing the CIA to use Extraordinary Rendition to transfer terror suspect to countries that utilizes torture. Do you remember Richard Clarke a former chief counter terrorist advisor to the Clinton Administration? The following is his quote,

‘extraordinary renditions’, were operations to apprehend terrorists abroad, usually without the knowledge of and almost always without public acknowledgment of the host government…. The first time I proposed a snatch, in 1993, the White House Counsel, Lloyd Cutler, demanded a meeting with the President to explain how it violated international law. Clinton had seemed to be siding with Cutler until Al Gore belatedly joined the meeting, having just flown overnight from South Africa. Clinton recapped the arguments on both sides for Gore: “Lloyd says this. Dick says that. Gore laughed and said, ‘That’s a no-brainer. Of course it’s a violation of international law, that’s why it’s a covert action. The guy is a terrorist. Go grab his ass.’”

I want you to think of this and then reflect back over the last 6 years or so and how the Democrat and media outcry, along with the Hollywood movie entitled Rendition, painting George Bush out as the arbiter of this practice.

“We the people,” there are no better words created by man than that. We the people have two problems. The first is, we have forgotten what it means “We the people.” Instead, it is the president, the congressperson. We have slowly become dependent on our government for many things. This is problem number one, stemming from urbanization.

Our lives have become so cocooned we don’t know how to provide for ourselves. Providing has been narrowed down to stopping at the market, picking up a nicely packaged, ready to cook chicken. Gone is the need to know how to, and accepting of, the slaughtering of the chicken. New Orleans in the proceeding days after Katrina is a great example of urban dependency.

Someone sent me an email that had pictures of a devastating flood in Iowa. The email was drawing a comparison of two natural disasters. The point of the email was to show how much aid went to blacks verses whites in times of trouble. The flood victims in Iowa took care of themselves during the event. They did not wait for help. However, a better illustration is not one of black and white or racism, but rather of a group of people who have grown accustom to the government rendering assistance verses a group of people who have not. Race does not matter the point is dependency.

It is a sad day in America when people have no idea how to care for themselves and instead sit and wait for either rescue by the government or the ravages of the storm. The people in Iowa, White, Black, Brown, Yellow, or red, were not going to wait around either for the government to help, or for the storm to destroy them. They reacted and acted, tending for themselves as traditional Americans should. We have to admit that we have become soft and dependant on Uncle Sam.

“WE THE PEOPLE,” the second problem we have to admit to is materialism and a need for instant gratification. This housing crisis is a great example; there is enough greed to go around. First, yes, there were greedy lenders ready to mortgage a house and sell the loan, but they had tacit government support. They were urged by the congress to make more loans available to people who otherwise could not secure a loan.

Several major types of loans emerged, the 80/20 loan where one financed the 20% down payment and principle with two adjustable rate mortgages that would kick in 2, 3, 4, or 5 years down the road. The idea being one would refinance at a later point with a fixed rate. Of course, this was not taking into consideration that the housing market would collapse. Another type of loan was a no income verification loan. This loan was primarily made for people who could not afford to buy a home period. Both of these loans played upon the natural greed of the human beings.

Many people signed on the dotted line knowingly, speculating that their income would change in five years, or some other miracle would happen. As the 80/20 balloons began to mature, people realized they weren’t going to refinance as easily as they thought, the market had begun to change. Those who reported greater income on the loan application soon realized they didn’t have enough money to pay their mortgage. This is the greed of people, “I want my piece of the pie and I want it now.” Coupled with the greed of the lenders, and CEO’s we have a great cocktail of poison ready to drink.

Now that the toy is broken, we want Uncle Sam to fix it now, not later but now. Therefore, Bush comes out and gives us an 800 billion dollar pill to swallow and we do because we are afraid. Obama, next in line, offers us even a bigger pill, peddling doom and gloom. 1.2 trillion Dollars with interest and again, we hold our nose and swallow. Why?

We don’t want to suffer. We have no problem heaping our sins upon the shoulders of our children and grandchildren because we want the fix now, instant gratification. We fudged up, (I so want to use profanity). we wanted our 2000-5000 square foot McMansions, our swimming pools, our over rated SUV’s, our expensive trips. We wanted to live like there isn’t no tomorrow. Now that bill has come due, now that we have to pay the piper, what do we do? We pay it, no, we borrow it forward. We make up and coming generations and future generations pay for our excesses.

To boot, we not only making them pay for our greed, we want them to bail out our social security, and healthcare. That’s right, you heard Uncle Obama is going to fix social security didn’t you? You heard he has stashed some 700 billion dollars to buy you healthcare right? You heard the woman at one of his town meetings say she has no worries now because her mortgage is going to be paid, her car’s gas bill is going to be paid, yes…go Obam!. Hell, I don’t even want to work anymore. Why should I? Uncle O can support me.

Are we French and Swedish socialist? Are we Russian communist? Or are we Americans? Are you the sons and daughters, the grandchildren of men and women who fought the Nazi’s, Japanese, and Fascist Italians nonstop for four years? Are you the sons and daughters of the revolution? On the other hand, are you just lazy swine who want a free ride on the backs of those who are willing to work 12-hour days six days a week. Those who take the financial risk to make the businesses you work at?
